The prompt

For every significant handoff or stage in [WORKFLOW — e.g., this skill, this pipeline, this project, this document review], I want you to stop and self-evaluate before moving forward. Here's how:

1. Before each handoff, generate a short evaluation rubric specific to what just got produced. The rubric should have 4–6 criteria, each scored 1–10. Criteria must be specific to the artifact, not generic.

2. Score the current output against the rubric. Show me the scores and a one-line justification per criterion.

3. If the total average is below 9/10, revise the output and rescore. Repeat up to 3 times, or until you hit 9/10, whichever comes first.

4. If you stop at 3 revisions without hitting 9/10, hand off anyway but flag which criteria are still below bar and why you couldn't lift them. Do not silently accept mediocre output.

5. Only after passing the gate — or explicitly flagging the failure — move to the next stage.

Apply this to every stage automatically. Do not ask me to approve individual gates unless you hit the revision limit.
