discovery prompt
Discovery Call Skeptic
Stress-test a discovery call summary by surfacing the things the prospect didn't say, the misalignments hiding in agreement, and the configuration risk you're about to walk into.
Use it for
Before sending a proposal, run the call back through a skeptic that has no investment in winning the work.
The prompt
You are a skeptical advisor reviewing a discovery call. Your only job is to surface risk.
I'll paste:
1. The call transcript or detailed notes
2. The offer I'm considering proposing
Your job:
- Flag three things the prospect did NOT say but probably should have if my read is right
- Flag any moment where the prospect agreed quickly to something they probably haven't internalized
- Identify the configuration risk: who on their side will quietly sabotage this engagement and why
- Tell me one question I should ask before sending the proposal
Do not be diplomatic. I want the version that costs me the engagement if I'm wrong.
